Freedom For The Next Generation
As we come into a new era celebrating 25 years of ministry, we have set our focus to preparing the way for the next generation to reach the Inland Empire, and the world for Jesus. It has always been on Pastor Jim’s heart to leave the church, “debt free” to the next generation, that debt is the $13 million mortgage on the Church building and properties. We are committed to our staff, and Pastors who have given of their lives to minister the Gospel, and it has always been our desire to be able to support in some capacity those who have served all their lives so they could be blessed in their latter years. In order to do this, we need to free ourselves from the $87,000/month mortgage payment, and focus towards the next generation, and take care of the previous generations.

Freedom From A Financial Institution
Proverbs 22:7 (NLT), says, “Just as the rich rule the poor, so the borrower is servant to the lender.” The present economic situation drives us to fulfill our obligation to the lender; Foreclosures on Churches are higher than they have ever been in history, lenders have become less willing to negotiate rates for loans, and some banks are even facing financial troubles themselves. We cannot predict when the economy will turn around, or if it will ever be like it once was, but what we can do is work to protect our legacy by paying off the $13 million burden. Secondly, the loan situation is this: every 5 years the loan is due in full (a balloon payment). Typically at that time we renegotiate the loan for another term. The issue lies in the fact that our mortgage only covers interest, keeping us from paying principle balance indefinitely. We pay a financial institution interest to the amount of $70,000 every month! As a steward of what God has given us, our responsibility is to put what is given into the Kingdom of God and not into a bank’s profit margin.

Freedom For More Ministries
With what we are currently spending on our mortgage, imagine if we could focus those funds into more ministries, how much we could accomplish! How much more outreach and missions work could be done with the $87,000 a month that is currently going into a bank, or what could we sow into our community and into the world for the sake of the Gospel with those funds? Additionally we could that which once went to the bank to purchase properties surrounding the Church in cash, and build for the growing ministries such as, “Iglesa la Roca” our Spanish service, or towards our Christian School to have proper classrooms, play areas and sports fields so that our children can have the best education and health possible.

Jesus told his disciples, “With men, it is impossible, but with God, everything is possible” and it is through the grace of God that OUR CHURCH will be debt free. With the power of God, and everyone doing their part in investing into the Kingdom of God through equal sacrifice; we can truly be free to reach the world, and see our Inland Empire saved!
